A wonderful two weeks
Patricia 12.05.2010
We stayed at the loft apartment for nearly two weeks in April 2010. Immediately we found the apartment fascinating, it is very quirky a mix of styles; art deco furniture in an adapted industrial style space.
There were three of us and although the apartment is one large open space (with no doors dividing sleeping areas) because it is quite large and on separate levels each of us felt as if we had our own individual spaces.
Santelmo is a wonderful part of Buenos Aires. Over two weeks we visited most of the city but found the evenings and Sunday market in Santelmo enchanting.

amazing experience
Mathew from New Zealand 20.01.2010
I spent 2 months at this apartment and it was an amazing experience, and I would not hesitate in recommending this to anyone who wanted to stay in the San Telmo area.
The entrance is located on quite a busy street but the moment the front door closes the sound is almost fully blocked out. The apartment is actually to the rear of the building and the most sound you're likely to hear is nearby church bells, or street drummers from the nearby San Telmo markets on Sundays.
There is gas heating, and no A/C although while I was there I found that even on the hottest days it was very cool and refreshing in the building, probably because of the brick walls that are provide great insulation.
The location is amazing, San Telmo really is a great area with a tonne of cute cafes and bars hidden away. Even after 2 months there were plenty of places that I regretted not getting the chance to visit. These places aren't always obvious so grab a recent Time Out magazine for inspiration.
The apartment is bright and filled with all sorts of things you might need and makes you feel like you're staying at a friends place rather than a random apartment. There is quite a lot of kitchen things and I baked a few batches of cookies while I was there (I love baking cookies!)
Alejandra (the owner) was really welcoming and great at giving advice for places to visit in the city and even helping me with my very very bad attempts at Spanish.
I can't think of anything else to say except that I really enjoyed my stay here.

We stayed at the loft in 2007 and still think it's the best place to stay in Buenos Aires! The location is fantastic, and the apartment is welcoming and quiet (a blessing in Bs As), and feels just like home. Alejandra is warm and helpful, definitely 10 out of 10

REVIEW PASEO COLON

This loft is definitely the most terrific and sweetest place I have ever been living in (and I have been stayed in many world cities!). These hole interior seemed to me very precisely chosen with taste and style, yes it is rather a bit bohemian on an upper level! Little details everywhere! You feel a bit in another century inside there. The pictures seem maybe a bit confusing, but trust me, it is a huge and a very big space; clean and very very quiet (you really do not hear a thing!). It has two upper splitted off lev els ( workspace and sleeping space) and a wonderful lightening. I must admit, I was a bit sad to leave it, because after a 4 weeks stay, I occupied it like my own home. Yes it is a real home! The neighborhood has everything in 10 steps and everybody is smiling to you at any time, while a policeman standing in front of the building 24hours, so you feel very safe. And not to forget the charming, friendly and very helpful owner Alejandra! She opened and closed the appartment for me very gentle.Thank you so much, I will never forget this delightful, marvelous stay...
